How to replace the Windshield Washer Pump on Cadillac Catera?

Start windshield washer pump replacement by opening the hood to empty the washer solvent container. Unplug the washer pump from its electrical connection before pulling the pump freely out of the solvent container. Unplug the washer pump hose and pull out the washer pump filter from the solvent container before examining the filter for dirt. Install a new filter as needed. Start by adding the washer pump filter before connecting the washer hose pump to the washer pump and placing the washer pump back into the solvent container. Connect the washer pump power connection before putting washer solvent in the container and sealing the hood.
