  Q: How to replace the cabin air filter on Cadillac DTS?

  A: The passenger compartment Air Filter regulates most dust particles in vehicle air intake but requires periodic filter replacement. The filter needs to be reached by looking at the access panel which is positioned under the hood close to the passenger's side windshield. Access the driver chamber by using a proper tool unless your vehicle utilizes finger-operable tabs for cover removal. A tool (Tool Required) should be inserted behind the push pin on the inboard side of the Air Filter compartment for careful prying. Use a tool (Tool Required) to reach the Air Filter by inserting it between the filter and compartment wall from the outboard side of the compartment. Inserting the tool will flatten the pin which holds the filter in position. Use your hands to take out the Air Filter together with loose debris that is present in the compartment. The new filter needs to be inserted until you hear a click before reinstalling the push pin while snapping the cover back into position.
