Q: How to Replace a Fuel Pressure Sensor on Cadillac Escalade ESV?
A: The replacement of a Fuel Pressure Sensor requires first supporting the raised vehicle. The wiring harness electrical connector should be disconnected from the Fuel Pressure Sensor. Wrap a shop towel around the Fuel Pressure Sensor fitting next to catch leaking fuel before removing the sensor from the fuel line along with discarding the Fuel Pressure Sensor o-ring seal. Apply engine oil on the Fuel Pressure Sensor o-ring seal before mounting it to the fuel line fitting for installation. A shop towel should be used to protect the Fuel Pressure Sensor fitting by wrapping it, prepared to capture any leaking fuel. Position the Fuel Pressure Sensor to the fuel line before tightening it with a torque of 15 n.m (11 lb ft). Reconnect the wiring harness electrical connector of the chassis to the Fuel Pressure Sensor before lowering the vehicle. The inspection for fuel leaks begins by turning on the ignition key when the engine is off for 2 seconds followed by 10 seconds of ignition off then another 2 seconds of ignition on with engine off for visual inspection.
