How to replace Knock Sensor 1 on Cadillac Escalade EXT?

You must start by taking off the left front wheel together with its tire in order to replace Knock Sensor 1. Through the wheel well opening disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the knock sensor. The Knock Sensor (718) requires removal with the Knock Sensor Bolt (739). Install the knock sensor (718) against the engine block while installing the knock sensor bolt (739) which requires tightening to 25 N.m (18 lb ft). Reinstall the left front wheel along with its tire after connecting the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the knock sensor.
