Reconnect the electrical connector to the level sensor and use the correct process to push out air from the braking system.

Set the Brake Master Cylinder in place before you start work to access its primary Piston at the back. Before taking off the cap and diaphragm wipe clean the reservoir area around the outside of the master cylinder. After removal examine both components for damages such as cracks and nicks to replace defective items. After disconnecting the master cylinder reservoir you must push a smooth tool with a rounded tip into the primary Piston to take out the Piston retainer and primary Piston assembly from its chamber. Put blocking tools in both cylinder entry ports and the back port before injecting low-filtered air through the front port to push out the secondary Piston unit together with its parts and seals. Get rid of the entire primary Piston unit including the Piston retainer and seals from the secondary Piston. Clean all parts of the master cylinder secondary Piston return spring using denatured alcohol while looking for damage before replacing the master cylinder if problems exist. Breathe filtered air through each part before you oil both the master cylinder and secondary Piston passage with delco supreme 11 brake fluid (GM P/N 12377967). Place the new lubricated primary seal components onto the secondary Piston. Also put on both the primary and secondary seals before inserting the lubricated return spring and secondary Piston assembly into the cylinder bore. Finish by setting the lubricated new primary Piston assembly in place. Start the primary Piston with a grounded round tip tool to set the new Piston retainer in place. Finally put back the master cylinder reservoir parts and install the master cylinder onto the car.
