How to replace the Tail Light on Cadillac Seville?

Begin tail lamp replacement by opening the rear compartment lid while removing either the left or right rear compartment side trim parts. First disconnect the taillamp connector then push the grommet out of the rear compartment. Unfasten the tail lamp's mounting attachments to the body before extracting the lamp from its housing. When installing the taillamp fit the connector and grommet into the vehicle body space by pushing all the way to full seat position. Refasten the taillamp into the body by using fasteners and tighten them to 4.5 n.m (40 lb in). Drive the taillamp connector into its port and replace the rear compartment side trim before shutting the lid.
