The replacement process for awd automatic transmission oil cooler lines requires starting with engine
Oil Filter removal. You must remove the left hand (LH) intermediate shaft bearing assembly during this step. Disconnect the automatic transmission oil cooler lines from the
Radiator through the transmission cooler quick connect (J 44827) after which the toc line to transmission retaining bolt and the rear toc lines should be removed from the transmission. The installation process starts by throwing away the o-rings and subsequently removing the toc retainer bracket bolt. Drill through the retainer bracket rivets after repositioning the toc lines for clearing out the retainer bracket and toc lines from their placements. To install this system begin with toc lines followed by the addition of the retainer bracket then rivet the bracket onto the toc lines. Fasten the new toc retainer bracket bolt to 25 n.m (18 lb ft) torque specification. Install new o-rings at the rear part of the toc lines before connecting them to the transmission hardware. Insert and tighten the toc line to transmission retaining bolt to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Last, insert the toc lines into the Radiator while reinstalling the lh intermediate shaft bearing assembly together with the engine Oil Filter.
