The process of replacing the front transmission fluid cooler pipe begins with conducting leak tests through the halogen leak detector j 39400-a. The a/c system refrigerant requires no discharge when performing this process. The first step requires removing the
A/C Condenser bolts for mounting and shifting the condenser aside to reach the auxiliary
Transmission Oil Cooler lines. The maintenance procedure begins with separating the Transmission Oil Cooler lines from their connection points to both the toc and the toc retainer clip. The maintenance steps begin with deshrouding the toc to cooling fan shroud bolts then removing the lh front wheel followed by unmounting the lh front splash shield retainers followed by the lh front splash shield. The front toc lines need to be disconnected from the rear toc lines by using the transmission cooler quick connect (J 44827). Afterward remove the front toc lines. The first step for installation is to attach front toc lines and link them with rear toc lines. Boot up the installation by putting back the lh front wheel and splash shield retainers. Afterwards reinstall the lh front splash shield. Fasten the toc to cooling fan shroud bolts to a torque level of 6.5 n.m (58 lb in). Tighten both the toc line to the toc retainer clip fitting and the Transmission Oil Cooler (TOC) lines to the toc using 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Place and tighten the condenser in its proper position.
