- Q: How to replace the Front Transmission Oil Cooler Hose on 2006 Cadillac SRX?A: The replacement process of the front transmission fluid cooler pipe requires j 39400-a halogen leak detector along with j 44827 transmission cooler quick connect. The auxiliary Transmission Oil Cooler front line replacement process does not require refrigerant discharging from the a/c system. You should unscrew the condenser mounting bolts of the a/c unit before repositioning it for better transmission line visibility. The maintenance technician disconnects the Transmission Oil Cooler lines at two stages; from the toc and from the toc retainer clip. Step one requires removal of the toc to cooling Fan Shroud bolts together with the lh front wheel and lh front splash shield retainers before proceeding with the lh front splash shield. The technician uses j 44827 to remove front toc lines from their connection to rear toc lines before taking away front toc lines. The front toc line installation should start by joining the lines to their corresponding ends on the rear unit. Place the front splash shield on the lh side followed by its retainers then reinstall the lh front wheel. Screw in the toc to cooling Fan Shroud bolts at 6.5 nm torque followed by connecting the toc line to its retainer clip and attaching the Transmission Oil Cooler lines to the toc with a torque of 20 nm. To finish the repair process install the condenser in its proper position.
