- Q: How to replace the rear transmission oil cooler hose with AWD on 2005 Cadillac SRX?A: The first step to replace the rear transmission fluid cooler pipe (with AWD) requires engine Oil Filter and left hand (LH) intermediate shaft bearing assembly removal. The transmission cooler quick connect (J 44827) tool allows the separation of front transmission oil cooler lines from the rear toc lines before removing the rear toc line to transmission retainer bolt to disconnect rear toc lines from the transmission. Discard the o-rings before you extract the retainer bracket bolt of the toc system. Access and drill out the retainer bracket rivets when the toc lines have individual removal. After removing the retainer bracket and toc lines follow the procedure in reverse for installation. To install the toc system begin by attaching the toc lines then the retainer bracket which should be fastened to the toc lines before riveting everything in position. The toc retainer bracket bolt needs to be installed while tightening it to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) afterward install fresh o-rings to both rear toc lines followed by their connection to the transmission. It starts by installing the transmission retainer bolt for the rear toc line with 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) torque setting. After connecting front toc lines to rear toc lines, reinstall the lh intermediate shaft bearing assembly. The procedure ends by installing the engine Oil Filter.
