How to replace the MAP Sensor on Cadillac STS?

You must start by turning off the ignition then removing the fuel injector sight shield at the first step of replacing the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor. You should disconnect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connector followed by removing the bolt and bracket from the MAP sensor before removing the MAP sensor. Check the MAP sensor seal for wear or damage then replace it if needed. The MAP sensor installation includes positioning it back in its original location first followed by bracket assembly and bolt placement before tightening the bracket bolt to 12 N.m (106 lb in). Connect the MAP sensor electrical wiring while replacing the fuel injector sight shield.
