How to replace the MAP Sensor on 2006 Cadillac STS?

Begin replacing the Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor by turning OFF the ignition while also removing the engine sight shield. Disconnect the MAP sensor electrical cable then free the MAP sensor from its bracket position. First disconnect the vacuum line fitting from the MAP sensor's bottom and examine both the MAP sensor vacuum line and fittings for leaks (1,2). Before installation you should first connect the vacuum line fitting to the sensor's bottom port, mount the MAP sensor onto its bracket, and reattach the electrical connector then reinstall the engine sight shield.
