How to replace Knock Sensor 1 on 2006 Cadillac STS?

Install new Knock Sensor 1 by removing the supercharger assembly before disconnecting the knock sensor (KS) electrical connector and unfastening the KS bolt and extracting the KS unit. A complete cleaning process must be applied to the KS mating interface and engine block area before positioning the KS in direct contact with the engine block surface. Apply a direct connection between the KS and its bolt while refraining from using any washers of any type for installation then torque the bolt to 20 N.m (15 lb ft). Proceed by establishing correct wiring harness position which secures with multiple retaining clips before connecting the KS electrical connector and reinstalling the supercharger assembly.
