  A: Vehicle elevation and tire removal lead to the replacement of brake shoes. Before taking off the Brake Drum make a mark on the relationship between Brake Drum and axle. The procedure begins by uninstalling the Brake Shoe return springs alongside the Brake Shoe guide and hold down springs and hold down pins. Following the actuator lever removal proceed to remove its pivot and lever return spring then move to remove parking brake strut and parking brake lever. The installation starts by extracting both brake shoes and their corresponding adjusting screw assembly with its spring. All components must undergo examination for heat-discolored or stressed areas because aged parts need replacement. You need to inspect the Wheel Cylinder for leakiness and get a new one if needed and visually examine the Brake Drum for scoring and quality control measurements. When installing the components apply high temperature silicone lubricant to the Brake Shoe backing plate and adjusting screw threads and socket and socket face at a thin level before confirming that right and left adjusting screws do not get mixed up.
