The Fan Clutch wrench (J 46406) should be used to remove the Fan Clutch assembly by turning it counterclockwise before extracting the assembly from the vehicle. The next step requires removal of four bolts connecting Fan Blade to Fan Clutch before taking off the Fan Blade itself. The first step of installation begins with attaching the Fan Blade to the Fan Clutch but all steps must follow the fastener notice in service precautions. Fasten the four bolts by turning them to 33 nm torque (24 ft. Lbs.) after attaching the Fan Blade to the Fan Clutch. The Fan Clutch wrench (J 46406) should be used to reinstall the Fan Clutch assembly with a counterclockwise direction before securing it at 56 nm (41 ft. Lbs.) and finally reinstalling the upper Fan Shroud.
