How to replace the door check link on Chevrolet Avalanche 1500?

In order to replace door limiter link, you first have to open the door, followed by removing the door trim panel and the water defector. Next, remove the body side limiter strap bolt and the limiter strap plug and take out door side limiter strap nuts and pull limiter strap out from inside door. To install, link the limiter strap with the door and subsequently with the body after tueling it with the head of the limiter strap nuts with 9N.m (80 lb. in). Then, install the limiter strap bolt and tighten it to 25 N.m (18 lb in), and reinstall the water deflector and the door trim panel.
