    Q:
How to replace the door check link on Chevrolet Avalanche 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
In order to replace door limiter link, you first have to open the door, followed by removing the door trim panel and the water defector. Next, remove the body side limiter strap bolt and the limiter strap plug and take out door side limiter strap nuts and pull limiter strap out from inside door. To install, link the limiter strap with the door and subsequently with the body after tueling it with the head of the limiter strap nuts with 9N.m (80 lb. in). Then, install the limiter strap bolt and tighten it to 25 N.m (18 lb in), and reinstall the water deflector and the door trim panel.

    Q:
How to replace the door check link on Chevrolet Silverado 3500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin by fully opening the door before removing its trim panel together with the water deflector. First remove the check link pillar bolt for the body-side as well as the check plug before you use pliers to extract the check through the inside of the door. The installation process begins with putting the check inside the door followed by placing it in the body framework while following the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Secure the check nuts by torqueing them to 9 N.m (80 lb in). Before reinstalling the check link bolt apply LOCTITE(R) 242 GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) to its threads then tighten it to 25 N.m (18 lb in). Reinstall the water deflector on top of the check link bolt in addition to the door trim panel.

How to replace the door check link on Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Classic? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step involves fully opening the door to remove the door trim panel followed by the water deflector before accessing the door check link. The check link pillar bolt located at the body side and check strap plug together with door-side check strap nuts need to be removed until the check strap can be pulled from inside the door. Clean the threads of the check link bolt before application of LOCTITE(R) 242, GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) and proceed to install and torque the check link bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb in). Put back the door trim panel together with the water deflector.

    Q:
How to replace the door check link on GMC Sierra 3500? Posted by Customer
    A:
The starting point to replace the door limiter link involves opening the door fully before dismantling the door trim panel, water deflector, body-side check strap bolt, check strap plug, and door-side check strap nuts. You need to start by removing the body-side check strap bolt and check strap plug and door-side check strap nuts before pulling out the check strap that is located inside the door. Begin installation by inserting the check strap into the door before placing it in the body section followed by tight installation of check strap nuts at 9 N.m (80 lb in). A new application of LOCTITE(R) 242 GM P/N 12345382 or Canadian P/N 10953489 should cover the check link bolt threads before tightening it to 25 N.m (18 lb in). Reinstall the water deflector and the door trim panel as the last step.
