    Q:
How to Replace a Door Latch Assembly on a Cargo Door Upper on Cadillac Escalade? Posted by Customer
    A:
The process to replace the rear door latch (Cargo Door Upper) begins by removing the door trim panel then continuing with bolt removal that keeps the latch attached to the door. You should remove the latch while disconnecting the actuator cable assembly until you can take out the latch bolts and completely remove the latch. Begin by linking the actuator cable assembly to the latch after which you should install the bottom two bolts without tightening them. Expose the latch assembly by closing the door to enable self-adjustment and securely bolt these components to 9 N.m (80 lb in force). Open the door to position the upper bolt before tightening it to 9 N.m (80 lb in) and afterward reattach the door trim panel.

    Q:
How to replace the front side door lock actuator on Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Classic? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step in replace a front side Door Lock Actuator requires users to raise the window glass before they take off the door trim panel alongside the water deflector. The front side Door Lock rod extending from the handle retainer clip needs removal along with the manual Door Lock rod from its mounting on the door retainer clips. The rubber plug must be uninstalled to allow access to the outside handle rod retainer and cylinder lock rod disconnection. The next step requires removal of bolts which secure the Door Lock Actuator to the door before extracting the actuator and its control rods as one unit. First disconnect any electrical connector that exists on door locks and then proceed to separate control rods as needed. The installation process requires control rod attachment to the assembly followed by electrical connector joining to the Door Lock Actuator if it is present. Lower the Door Lock Actuator into position on the door before connecting both outside door handle control rod and cylinder lock rod. Secure the Door Lock Actuator bolts to the door. Secure the Door Lock Actuator bolts to the door structure by tightening its screws to 9 n.m (80 lb in). The manual Door Lock receives installments to the door retainer clips followed by an installation of the inside door handle control rod to the lock assembly and the inside Door Lock rod to the handle retainer clip. As the last step install the water deflector then mount the door trim panel before checking the functioning of all involved components.
