How to replace the rear side Door Latch Assembly on 2001 Buick LeSabre?

The first step to replace a rear side door latch includes removing the door trim panel, door module, water deflector, and inside Door Handle one after another. Detach the outside Door Handle rod by opening the clip on the door latch followed by removing the door latch fasteners and the door latch which carries together with the inside Door Handle latch and lock rods. Initial steps require disconnecting electrical connectors before taking off both handle and lock rods that connect to the door latch. To install the door latch you must connect the inside Door Handle and lock rods to the door latch then link electrical connectors while installing the door latch into its position and maintain 10 n.m (89 lb in) torque to the fasteners. Attach the outside Door Handle latch rod to the door latch through the process of inserting it into the clip component on the Door Latch Assembly before the clip closure. Test the door functions after inside Door Handle attachment and inspect all components for correct installation of water deflector, door module, and door trim panel.
