How to replace the door striker on 2001 Buick LeSabre?

Check the door striker's position before you remove its fasteners along with counting the spacers. Apply a grease pencil mark on the pillar door striker location before removing its fasteners to extract the whole striker assembly consisting of striker, spacer, and washer. Starting installation requires correct assembly of the washer along with spacer and striker where the striker should face outward with the narrow edge aligned to the removal marks. Close the striker fasteners into place on the door striker before using an 21 lb ft torque wrench to tighten them to 28 N.m.
