    Q:
How to replace the rear side Door Latch Assembly on Buick LeSabre? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start replacing the rear side door latch by taking out the door trim panel followed by removing the door module and the water deflector. Before moving forward you should first disconnect the outside Door Handle rod from the door latch by opening the clip on the door latch. First remove door latch fasteners before uninstalling the door latch together with inside Door Handle latch and lock rods which stay connected. The door latch installation requires you to disconnect electrical connectors then separate the handle from the lock rods before removing it from the latch. Begin installation by attaching the inside Door Handle with lock rods to the door latch before you connect the electrical wiring along with a proper installation of the door latch into the door. Secure the door latch fasteners at 10 n.m force (89 lb inch) while attaching the door latch with an outside Door Handle rod by placing the rod inside the Door Latch Assembly clip then closing it. You need to handle the inside Door Handle installation followed by a handle operation test which enables progress to install the water deflector and door module then the door trim panel.
