A: Starting the replacement of the rear Door Lock Actuator requires raising the window followed by removing the door trim panel and water deflector. The inner Door Lock rod needs separation from both the handle retainer clip and the manual Door Lock rod from the door retainer clips. The procedure requires removal of the rubber plug from the outside handle rod retainer to disconnect the cylinder lock rod. First remove Door Lock Actuator bolts then extract Door Lock Actuator and control rods as a combined unit from the door. Before continuing disconnect the electrical connector from the Door Lock Actuator then proceed with removing the control rods depending on equipment availability. The installation process begins with control rods assembly before you connect the electrical connectors to any Door Lock actuators which are available. First install the Door Lock Actuator onto the door opening and add the outside door handle control rod with the cylinder lock rod. Fasten the bolts which secure the Door Lock Actuator onto the door while torquing the screws to 9 n.m (80 lb in). The manual Door Lock requires installation within the door retainer clips and the inside door handle control rod must be attached to the lock assembly and the inside Door Lock rod needs attachment to the handle retainer clip. After installing the water deflector you can add the door trim panel then inspect the function of all linked parts.
