Install the bolts to secure the latch assembly to the door, ensuring to tighten them to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

Remove the bolts that secure the latch to the door.

Remove the latch retaining bolts.

Install the latch to the door, ensuring to tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in) as per the Fastener Notice.

Connect the latch rod to the latch, ensuring to adhere to the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Connect the manual door lock to the door retainer clips, the inside door handle control rod to the lock assembly, and the inside door lock rod to the handle retainer clip.

Remove the latch retaining nuts and disconnect the latch rod from the latch.

Reinstall the water deflector and the door trim panel, and inspect the operation of all related components.

Reinstall the door trim panel.

Attach the actuator cable assembly to the latch.

Connect the inside door handle control rod to the lock assembly.

Disconnect the manual door lock rod.
