How to replace the Coolant Temperature Sensor on Chevrolet Avalanche 2500?

In order to replace the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor, we must drain the cooling system to a level below the ECT sensor. Before disconnecting the ECT sensor, remove the ECT sensor from the oil fill tube brackets, with the ECT sensor electric connector. Regardreinstalling the old sensor use Sealant GM P/N 12346004(Canadian 10953480) or an equivalent, put it on the threads. Mount the ECT sensor, and tighten it to 50 N .m (37 lb ft). Then reconnect the ECT sensor electrical connector onto the oil fill tube bracket and connect the ECT sensor electrical connector. Finally, refill the cooling system.
