In order to replace the Throttle Body assembly, first approach the electronic throttle control parts with care not to damage it, as it may require avoiding dropping or using any cleaning solvents to wash them. The Throttle Body casting is marked with an 8 digit part identification number, which helps with servicing or replacement of parts. Start by unscrewing the intake air resonator and disconnecting throttle actuator motor electrical connector and removing Throttle Body nuts. It is very important to cover or plug any opening at this time to avoid contamination. Now clean the Throttle Body and take out the Throttle Body Gasket then dispose of it. To install, use new Throttle Body Gasket and install Throttle Body, and follow the fastener notice in service precautions. Tighten the Throttle Body nuts to 10 n.m (89 lb in), reconnect the throttle actuator motor electrical connector , and install the intake air resonator. Finally, plug-in a scan tool to test for proper throttle-opening and throttle-closing range, operate topic accelerator pedal to ensure it is free to move between a closed throttle to a wide-open throttle (WOT), and verify that the vehicle is not in a reduced engine power mode, on ignition is up and off.
