For this valve service the workshop requires three essential tools including the valve spring compressor (J 5892-D),
Spark Plug port adapter (J 22794), and Valve Stem Oil Seal installer (J 43105). First take away the valve
Rocker Arms and pushrods while making sure the Piston in the serviced cylinder rests at the bottom of its travel to stop engine rotation. Move the Crankshaft until each valve shuts before taking out the Spark Plug from the cylinder. Attach the Spark Plug port adapter (J 22794) to the Spark Plug opening before blowing compressed air to hold the valves in place. Apply gentle pressure to the valve spring cap first to ease the valve stem keys. Install the valve spring compressor j 5892-d model onto the cylinder head and fasten the valve Rocker Arm nut to hold it in place. Use the valve spring compressor (J 5892-D) to apply pressure on the valve spring except for releasing compressed air from the cylinder. Then take out the valve stem keys from the cylinder head. After loosening the cylinder head components remove the valve spring compressor (J 5892-D) steadily then take off the valve spring cap and valve spring before removing the Valve Stem Oil Seal. Apply clean oil both to the valve stem and around the Valve Stem Oil Seal before placing it in position. Coat the rotators with oil too. With the Valve Stem Oil Seal installer (J 43105) securely hold the Valve Stem Oil Seal on the valve tip until it is fully seated onto the valve guide. Place the valve spring with small end upward then set its cap in position. Use the valve spring compressor (J 5892-D) to compress the valve spring and put on valve stem keys. Apply cleaned grease to secure them. Take the valve spring compressor (J 5892-D) from the valve assembly when you release it slowly and let air release from the cylinder space. Add the Spark Plug before reconnecting the valve rocker arms and pushrods.
