  The replacement process starts by extracting the oil level indicator from its tube followed by disconnection of the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector to extract the ect sensor connector from the tube. Begin by removing the indicator tube bolt then the indicator tube bracket before taking out the o-ring seal from the indicator tube. When installing the indicator tube maintain a gap between it and Spark Plug Wires by routing them around each other. Install a new o-ring seal onto the indicator tube after which you should insert the indicator tube into the Oil Pan with the bracket properly aligned to the bolt hole in the block. Impact the indicator tube bolt before tightening it to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). The ect sensor connector must be restored to the indicator tube along with connection of the ect sensor electrical connector before installing the oil level indicator on the tube.
