Apply sealant around the indicator tube 13 mm (0.5 in) below the tube bead, using the correct part number for the sealant.

Install the oil level indicator tube in the oil pan.

It may be reused if intact; otherwise, remove it from the tube.

Remove the indicator tube bolt and the indicator tube bracket, followed by the O-ring seal from the indicator tube.

If necessary, remove the O-ring seal from the tube.

Take out the oil level indicator tube from the engine block and inspect the O-ring seal for any cuts or damage.

Install the indicator tube by rotating it into position.
