Begin Wiper Arm replacement by marking the blade location with tape and unfastening the washing hose before lifting the trim from the wiper motor. Unscrew the Wiper Arm's cover nut before removing the nut. A battery terminal puller helps detach the Wiper Arm from the Drive Shaft before you can remove the Wiper Arm itself from the Drive Shaft and clean its knurls using a wire brush. Align the Wiper Blade with the mark you made previously on the windshield before you put the Wiper Arm onto the Drive Shaft. Drive shaft installation requires a nut fastening that reaches 30 n.m (22 lb ft) torque. When done install the cover on the nut while reattaching the washer hose and cleaning the locating mark or masking tape from the windshield before operating the wipers for a functionality check.
