A pair of wrenches must grip the flat surfaces on both the steering gear rack next to the inner Tie Rod and the inner Tie Rod itself. The counterclockwise rotation of the steering gear inner Tie Rod will separate it from the steering gear rack when maintaining rack stability. Begin by cleaning all threads and treating them with loctite(R) three-bond 1374 or an equivalent material on the steering gear inner Tie Rod threads.
