Chevrolet Blazer Pilot Bearing Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the pilot bearing on Chevrolet Blazer?
A: Replacement of the Pilot Bearing starts by uninstalling the Flywheel first. Safety glasses should always be worn throughout this work. Put the clutch Pilot Bearing remover (J 43276) to work through its tool body (J 43276-1) with a wrench to overcome clutch Pilot Bearing extraction without damaging the tool. The clutch Pilot Bearing requires insertion of the tool body before securing its placement with a wrench. The forcing screw (J 43276-2) should be placed into the tool body before rotating it clockwise to extract the clutch Pilot Bearing from the crankshaft completely. Use the forcing screw to unfasten it from the tool body by rotating it counter clockwise before you remove the tool body from the clutch Pilot Bearing and throw away the old bearing. To install the new clutch Pilot Bearing the technician should use clutch Pilot Bearing installer (J 26516-A) with driver handle (J 8092) while following instructions to maintain the correct bearing depth until completing Flywheel reinstallation.
