How to replace the power door lock switch on Chevrolet Cavalier?

The first step to change the power door lock switch involves the use of a flat-bladed tool to release any retaining tabs on the door trim panel before extracting the switch from its position. Begin the replacement by removing the door bezel if the power door lock switch is housed in it. Next remove the electrical connector from the power door lock switch . Use a flat-bladed tool to release all retaining tabs on the door lock switch installed on the trim bezel. Last step before removing the switch from the trim bezel. To install begin by inserting the power door lock switch into the trim bezel before pressing it until all retainers engage properly. You should connect the electrical connector to the power door lock switch. Regular installation procedures apply; place the bezel back onto the door trim panel when using the switch in the handle area. For switch placement in the trim panel, install it via pressure until retaining tabs secure.
