Chevrolet Cobalt Blower Motor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the blower motor on Chevrolet Cobalt?
A: Begin by unplugging the Blower Motor electrical connection before you remove its lower cover by taking out all screws and the cover. Use your sharp utility knife to cut the case between motor circles carefully as you remove the Blower Motor and cup unit making straight cuts to protect the components. Keep your knife passes shallow. Pull the motor tab and take out the motor from its holder. Press the Blower Motor into its motor cup space that you cut from the lower case assembly and fasten it with the Blower Motor nuts until they reach 2.4 n.m (21 lb in). Place the service ring onto the motor cup and add the screws from the kit. Tighten both the screws to 1.8 n.m. Fit the Blower Motor and service ring into the hvac unit by inserting the kit screws in place. Align the Blower Motor electrical connector toward the rear of the vehicle and secure it tightly at 1.8 n.m (15 lb in). Set the low motor cover back in place then fasten its retaining screws to 1.8 n.m (15 lb in) while soldering the Blower Motor plug.
