Chevrolet Cobalt Washer Reservoir Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the windshield washer reservoir on Chevrolet Cobalt?
A: Start by taking off the front fender liner and then pull the Washer Pump hose off the Washer Pump. Drain out the washer solvent into a clean container, and after that disconnect the electrical connectors from the Washer Pump and level sensor switch. Take out the washer solvent container from the right frame rail by removing the screws that hold it in place. When installing, put the new washer solvent container onto the right frame rail and fasten the screws until they reach 10 n.m (89 lb in) of torque. Connect both the electrical connectors for the Washer Pump and level sensor switch, and then join the Washer Pump hose to the spout on the Washer Pump. Fit the front fender liner back in, fill the washer solvent container with the correct liquid, and run the Washer Pump to see if it works and to find out if you have any leaks.
