How to replace the exhaust hanger on Chevrolet Colorado?

Vehicle lifting with support is necessary to replace the exhaust hanger but safety requirements for exhaust service including protective gear must always be followed. Use any lubricant except oil-based ones during all procedure stages. A soapy solution applied to both frame support bracket rod and exhaust pipe hanger rod will make it easier to remove the hanger. The exhaust pipe hanger needs to be gently dislodged from its position between the frame support bracket rod and the exhaust pipe hanger rod . Install the frame support bracket rod by using a soapy solution on both it and the inner diameter of the exhaust pipe hanger and the exhaust pipe hanger rod . Use both your hands to apply the exhaust pipe hanger onto the frame support bracket rod while simultaneously applying it to the exhaust pipe hanger rod . Once secured, lower the vehicle.
