Chevrolet Equinox Dimmer Switch Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the instrument panel (I/P) dimmer switch on Chevrolet Equinox?
A: The left side air deflector from the instrument panel must be removed before beginning instrument panel dimmer switch replacement. Unplug the electrical connector from the dimmer switch followed by screw removal from the I/P dimmer switch before extracting the switch. Chose a proper location for the dimmer switch on the left side air deflector panel before securing the screw at 2.5 N.m (22 lb in) following the Fastener Notice specifications provided in Service Precautions. First reconnect the electrical connector to the dimmer switch while repositioning the left side air deflector panel back to the I/P. Testing the dimmer switch should be performed to verify its operation.
