  • Q: How to replace the Brake Proportioning Valve on Chevrolet Express 1500?
    A:
First raise and stabilize the vehicle with safety stands to replace its combination valve. Disconnect the electrical plug from the combination valve before separating its lines to front and back brakes. Pull out the bolt that holds the combination valve to the frame and take the valve out. Place the combination valve onto the frame and thread in the bolt before tightening it to 10 nm (88 inch lbs.). Secure the front and rear brake pipes to their connections at the combination valve using moderate force of 30 nm. Reattach the electric connector to the combination valve then use the proper procedure to remove air from the Brake Lines.
