Chevrolet Express 1500 Throttle Position Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Throttle Position Sensor on Chevrolet Express 1500?
    A:
The replacement process for the throttle position (TP) sensor begins by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable while also removing the generator. First disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector before removing both tp sensor attaching screws to successfully remove the tp sensor as well as the tp sensor o-ring seal . The installation process requires placement of the tp sensor o-ring seal onto the tp sensor before installing the tp sensor onto the Throttle Body while the valve remains closed and the lever matches the drive lever of the throttle shaft. Use screws to attach the tp sensor along with screws that should be tightened at 2 n.m (18 lb in). The generator requires you to first connect the tp sensor electrical connector and then reinstall the component before reattaching the negative Battery Cable.
