To replace the
Spark Plug wires, proceed by removing the engine cover. Remove one or more Spark Plug wires for each Spark Plug by twisting each wire 1/2 turn and pull on the boot only. Second, unplug the Spark Plug wire from the
Ignition Coil, remove each boot 1/2 turn and pull the boot only. The melco(r) (square design) is a wire Spark Plug of 145 mm (5.70 in) length (from cable seal to cable seal), whereas, the delphi(r) (round design) is a 110 mm (4.30 in), wire Spark Plug (from cable seal to cable seal). There are two different Spark Plug wires' manufacturers: the melco(r) (square design) and the delphi(r) (round design), each of which includes different Spark Plug wires and mounting brackets, the melco(r) (square design) coil mounting bracket and the delphi(r) (round design) coil mounting bracket. For installation: firstly connect the Spark Plug at the Ignition Coil, then connect the Spark Plug to the Spark Plug. Check on the proper installation of the wires by pushing sideways on each boot to examine the seating and reinstalling any loose boot. Finally, reinstall the engine cover.
