How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor on Chevrolet Express 1500?

In order to replace the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor ensure that the ignition key is in the off or lock position, and the electrical loads should be off. Disconnect the negative Battery Cable from the battery to avoid personal injury or any potential to immobilize the vehicle by yourself. Start by lifting the car and taking out the Starter. Remove the ckp sensor electrical connector and clean the area around the sensor to avoid debris from getting into the engine. Remove the ckp sensor retaining fastener first, and subsequently, remove the ckp sensor itself. For installation, seat the ckp sensor and fasten it with retaining fastener and tighten it to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Reinstall the Starter, lower the vehicle, and reconnect the negative Battery Cable after reconnecting the ckp sensor electrical connector.
