How to replace the battery cables on Chevrolet Lumina?

The replacement battery cables require an exact match in terms and measurement with original cables. Start the cable replacement by uninstalling the lh diagonal brace and air cleaner. Begin the procedure by disconnecting first the negative Battery Cable from the battery then the positive Battery Cable . After setting the remote positive stud cover to the side you must remove the positive Battery Cable junction block lead nut and disconnect the positive Battery Cable at the lh underhood accessory wiring junction block stud. Solve the startup process by taking away both the starter solenoid bat terminal nut and positive Battery Cable from the starter solenoid bat terminal and moving the positive Battery Cable from the wiring harness conduit. Insert the positive Battery Cable into the wiring harness conduit before fastening the cable to the starter motor bat terminal with a starter solenoid bat terminal nut that should be tightened to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Fasten both the positive Battery Cable and the positive Battery Cable junction block lead nut onto the lh underhood accessory wiring junction block while tightening the lead nut to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Install the remote positive stud cover and join the positive Battery Cable to the battery while tightening the terminal bolt to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). Use the remaining steps to reconnect the negative Battery Cable to the battery followed by reinstallation of the air cleaner assembly and security of the lh diagonal brace.
