How to service the PG260 F1 starter motor on Chevrolet Lumina?

Servicing the pg260 f1 Starter motor that is not servicable / must be replaced entire should first have the negative Battery Cable disconnected as well as raising the vehicle up for support. Remove the electrical connection from the Starter motor, take off the torque converter cover and remove the Starter bolts and any required shims. Once the Starter motor is pulled from the engine, make sure that the replacement is a pg260 f1 before reinstalling it alongside any possible removed shims. Install Starter bolts and tighten them to the torque of 43 n.m (32 lb ft). Install the torque converter cover back and attach the electrical connections to the Starter motor, tighten the Starter solenoid bat terminal nut to 9.5 n.m (84.08 lb in) and the Starter solenoid switch s terminal nut to 2.3 n.m (8.8 lb in).
