How to service the Secondary Air Injection Pump on Chevrolet Lumina?

Service of the Air Injection Pump requires first loosening the AIR exhaust pipe hose pinch clamp then disconnecting the AIR exhaust hose from both the AIR pump and AIR pump electrical connector. The service begins by unscrewing the nuts securing the AIR pump bracket to the frame before removing the AIR pump with bracket as an assembly. Secure both the AIR pump along with its bracket to the Frame mount through the nuts then tighten them to 50 Nm (37 lb ft). The next step involves connecting the AIR pump electrical connector followed by a light lubrication of the AIR exhaust hose inner edge before fixing it onto the AIR pump outlet port. Secure the pinch clamp of the AIR exhaust hose onto the joint of the AIR pump outlet port and exhaust hose assembly.
