The service procedure for the EGR Valve begins with interrupting power through the Ignition Switch combined with removing the electrical connector from the valve. You should first remove the bolt from the EGR Valve pipe assembly before pulling the pipe back carefully. Amateur service of the EGR Valve begins with releasing all retaining bolts which enables complete removal of the EGR Valve with its gasket. Install a new gasket onto the Intake Manifold before mounting the EGR Valve. Secure the EGR Valve bolts by tightening the nuts to 30 nm (22 lb ft). Proceed by attaching the pipe assembly to the EGR Valve then reinstall the bolt before tightening the nuts to 30 nm (22 lb ft). Re-establish the electrical connector of the EGR Valve as the final step.
