First, raise the vehicle to a suitable height before supporting it with appropriate equipment. You should remove all bolts from the engine shield before taking out the shield itself. First detach the steering gear crossmember from the vehicle by removing the rear lower
Control Arm Bracket frame mounting bolts then the steering gear crossmember mounting bolts. After aligning the steering gear crossmember correctly you should fasten its mounting bolts following the procedure in the fastener notice. After securing the steering gear crossmember mounting bolts to 50 n.m (37 lb ft) torque values, install the rear lower Control Arm Bracket to frame mounting bolts by tightening them to 230 n.m (170 lb ft). Secure the engine shield first followed by its mounting bolts at 20 n.m (15 lb ft) torque and finally drop the vehicle.
