Q: How to Properly Service a TPMS Sensor on Chevrolet Malibu?
A: To replace Tire Pressure Indicator Sensor, first make the car elevated on an appropriate support. Next, pop off the tire/wheel assembly from the vehicle simultaneously, and then remove tire from the wheel. In case any tire pressure sensor parts get damaged, they need to be replaced. Deflate tire and remove tire pressure sensor indicator cap, then tire pressure sensor indicator nut. Always replace the seals, rather than reusing the old ones; instead, go ahead and change it to a new one. Remove tire pressure sensor seal, the washer, and tire pressure sensor. Check around the mounting point for the tire pressure sensor and clear it, then mount the washer and the seal on the tire pressure sensor. Mount the tire pressure sensor to the wheel and begin the nut by hand making sure the sensor is leveled with the inside wheel when torquing. Mount the nut on the tire pressure sensor and tighten it till 7 Nm (62 lb in). Mount of the tire onto the wheel and the tire/wheel assembly on the vehicle. Lastly, check on the lower of the vehicle and learn tire pressure sensors.
