Chevrolet Metro EGR Valve Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the EGR valve on Chevrolet Metro?
A: The first step in replacing the EGR Valve requires rote removal of the two vacuum hoses which attach to the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve. Connectors for the exhaust gas recirculation valve must be detached before unscrewing the bolts which keep the valve fixed to the Intake Manifold. After this, you must take out both the valve along with its gasket from the Intake Manifold. When installing the new gasket together with the EGR Valve onto the Intake Manifold position the two bolts for attachment. When the job is done attach the EGR Valve to the Intake Manifold with bolts secured to 20 n.m (15 lb ft), then reattach the two vacuum hoses to their respective ports on the EGR Valve.
