How to replace the left Motor and Transmission Mount on Chevrolet Metro?

The first step to replace the left transaxle mount requires proper vehicle elevation and support. First remove the 5 retainer clips from the left splash shield before removing the left splash shield. After supporting the transaxle with a suitable hydraulic jack remove both retaining nuts which hold the left transaxle mount in place along with the through-bolt securing the left transaxle mount to the vehicle. The setup procedure begins with moving the transaxle slightly then removing the left transaxle mount from the vehicle as the left transaxle bracket clears the left transaxle mounting studs. Set the left transaxle mount into its proper position within the vehicle while using a hydraulic jack to lift the transaxle into place. Fit the through-bolt to the left transaxle mount while achieving a torque of 60 nm (44 ft. Lbs.). Next apply 2 retaining nuts to the transaxle mount before torquing them to 60 nm (44 ft. Lbs.). Put away the hydraulic jack as you reattach the left splash shield before attaching five retainers and bringing the vehicle to rest.
