How to Service and Repair a Throttle Cable on Chevrolet Metro?

The service and repair process starts with disconnecting the accelerator control cable from the accelerator pedal followed by pushing it through the bulkhead grommet. Start by taking out the air cleaner followed by unfastening the accelerator control cable locknut. The throttle lever should be opened wide while removing the cable end from its slot. Pull out the accelerator control cable from its attachment on the cable bracket while removing it from the vehicle. First attach the accelerator control cable to the cable bracket before positioning the throttle lever to wide open then slot in the cable end through the throttle lever opening. After inserting the accelerator control cable through the bulkhead grommet you must join it to the accelerator pedal before performing an adjustment of the accelerator control cable.
