How to replace the Fuel Tank Filler Neck on Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

You should open the fuel filler door before you take out the fuel filler cap to work on the fuel tank filler pipe housing of a monte carlo. Proceed by taking out bolts from the fuel filler pocket of the fuel filler neck while covering the pocket opening with tape. A small flat-bladed tool should be used to press outwards from the top edge of the fuel filler pocket which will allow its removal. Lay the fuel filler pocket onto the fuel filler neck and securely push it until it reaches a complete position before installing the fuel filler pocket bolts and torque them to 5 nm (44 lb in). Secure the fuel filler door by replacing its cap then finish with reinstallation.
